I left the workshop feeling invigorated and empowered to reach all of the children I get to work with, and I felt freshly enthused to incorporate new ways to connect them with the power of expressive writing, as well as more patient and prepared to follow them on their own path of development—rather than focus on a result or a take-home work that would please their parents.

WMI has programs that are very accessible. They offer traditional training certification programs and professional mentorships but also these one day seminars led by trainers that require very little commitment and are now in person and online. These programs are great for educators but also for anyone interested in the Montessori theory and practices. This morning was such a great chance to learn, commune, and invigorate my spirit!

I have watched the Freedom and Discipline presentation that Jennifer Shields gave in September three times and each time I have found golden nuggets of inspiration. The timing of the workshop could not have come at a better time and it was a wonderful way to prepare for the new school year. I look forward to more of these in-depth presentations from Washington Montessori Institute.
