  • What is Montessori?

  • Transitions

  • Bathroom Independence

WMI can conduct half day or full day workshops for your teachers and staff.  We will work with you to identify areas and topics that will meet the needs of your staff and community. If you are a Maryland school, WMI will provide MSDE certificates for participating staff. Possible topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating a Cohesive Montessori Culture

  • Montessori Philosophy

  • Transitions

  • Language and the Child

  • Importance of the Prepared Environment

WMI trainers are available to work onsite and online. A consultation may include but is not limited to:

  • Initial surveys with follow-up visits

  • Observations followed by in-depth meetings to offer support

  • Leading workshops for teachers, assistants, administrators

  • Help to prepare a new or existing classroom environment

  • Modeling classroom practice: e.g., showing a lesson, directing a group, according to a teacher’s needs

  • Working with a team or group of teachers/assistants

  • Support with observation, planning, and record keeping

Our experience with the Washington Montessori Institute was nothing short of exceptional. WMI worked closely with us to identify two key topics for a full-day professional development session for our entire staff on both of our campuses—guides, assistants, and aftercare teams alike.

The morning session focused on spoken language, and it was both engaging and enlightening. In the afternoon, we shifted our attention to improving transitions, often one of the more challenging parts of our daily routine.

Our staff couldn’t stop raving about the experience. They found the entire day to be relevant, well-structured, and directly aligned with the needs of our classrooms. We’re incredibly grateful for their expertise and highly recommend them for any Montessori school looking to strengthen their staff’s professional skills.

Listening to Jennifer speak is always an absolute delight. Her talent for explaining Montessori principles with clarity and relevance, using real-life examples that resonate deeply, is truly remarkable. Moreover, her ability to connect authentically with her audience turns her lectures into warm, engaging conversations.

Every time I hear her, I learn something new and valuable, and her passion serves me as a constant source of inspiration to continue pursuing the rewarding work of early childhood education.
