Primary (3-6) Orientation

Led by AMI 3-6 Trainer Naoko Ogawa
Online synchronous sessions
I found the online format of the Orientation very helpful in order to fit this training in around my busy work schedule. There was a lot of variety in terms of articles and videos, which I appreciated. The small group made for a nice opportunity to get to know the other adult learners. Naoko provided a lovely bridge to access Montessori theory, as well as practical discussion of real-life examples.
The 3-6 Orientation Course was great and helpful for gaining a deep understanding of Maria Montessori’s methodology and learning more about child development and behavior. The content was well-organized, and the videos and readings were very helpful for learning new tools and applying them to my work. Thanks to Naoko and Jennifer for making my learning experience enjoyable.
This course is a really good foundational course to take for those that do not know much about Montessori. It dives deep into the basics of Montessori and Maria Montessori’s life and her philosophies. It was a really fun and interactive class. I loved getting to know other people all over the United States and the other Montessori schools they worked at. The class really helps with learning the importance of Montessori. It has helped me greatly in my work and in becoming a better Assistant to my teacher. It has also helped me better understand my children and where they are at in their growth.
