ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will return to elementary Montessori Language materials and presentations, this time with a new perspective: Older children can be introduced to the power that these materials and presentations (previously focused upon “analysis”) have to support stronger, more sophisticated Creative Writing. It becomes apparent that these same materials can be harnessed to drive “synthesis” of Creative Writing. Approaches for the presentation of fiction and non-fiction Creative Writing will be examined during these presentations. The workshop will then move to an introduction to Poetry Writing, and then to the field of “Metrics.”
