ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Food is a valuable opportunity for education. Food is not just for survival and satisfying our physical needs. It is an important part of our social life. Food is an educational tool that helps children adapt to their family and culture by offering sensory experiences, enriching language, refining movements, encouraging independence, and most importantly, feeling part of their community. Through sharing meals, children have the opportunity to learn and absorb the process of eating, listening to conversations, and observing manners. This is a crucial part of their development. In this workshop, we will explore the value of eating together, give some ideas for organizing the lunch area, and discuss food preparation areas in our environments.
